Program Details
Increase your gains in energy efficiency by auditing your building energy use and optimizing your controls.
The Building Optimization program provides rebates for recommissioning improvements made to your facility’s energy management system. Some of the available measures include:
- Lighting systems and HVAC equipment scheduling
- Night temperature setback
- Chiller condenser temperature reset
- Discharge air temperature reset
- Static pressure reset
- Dual enthalpy economizer control
- Reduce VAV box minimum position
- Chilled water reset
- Outdoor air damper adjustments
- Coil cleaning
- Pump pressure reduction
- Scheduling non-HVAC equipment
- Advanced rooftop unit controls

Participation is Easy
- Search and contact a local, participating contractor.
- Complete and submit the Customer Eligibility Form to verify your eligibility for program participation.
- Have your contractor complete the initial assessment to reserve rebate funding with our program representative. You may choose to perform an optional audit prior to project installation if you need assistance identifying measures for your facility.
- Install qualifying recommissioning measures.
- Have your contractor submit the rebate packet on your behalf.

Customer Eligibility
Participation Requirements
You must be a Dominion Energy North Carolina non-residential customer who:
- Is on a non-residential rate schedule
- Is not exempt by statute or not under special contract
- Is responsible for the electric bill
- Is the owner of the facility or is reasonably able to secure permission to complete installation of measures
Please review additional requirements through the Program’s Terms and Conditions. By participating in this program, you are signifying your agreement to the Terms and Conditions of the Non-Residential Building Optimization Program.
Find a Contractor
This program is currently building and training its contractor network. Once it is established, you will be able to use this location to find participating contractors in your area.
If you have an existing controls contactor that you would like to work with, contact us and we will reach out to them to explain the advantages of joining our contractor network.
