Program Introduction
Dominion Energy Virginia’s Multifamily Program provides property owners and managers with an on-site energy assessment of both common areas and tenant units. You will receive a report identifying and quantifying savings opportunities, along with estimated project costs and incentives available. Upgrade measures available for incentive could include:
- Low-flow showerheads and aerators
- Water heater pipe insulation
- LED lamp upgrades
- Water heater thermostat set point adjustment
- Refrigerator coil brush and thermometers
- Occupancy sensors
- Air Sealing
- Attic insulation
- Heat pump tune-up / upgrade / duct sealing
- Smart Thermostat installation
- Energy Star Refrigerators/Freezers
- Clothes washer/dryer

Participation is Easy
- Multifamily property owners and managers should contact the program to learn more.
- Search and contact a local, participating contractor.
- Schedule an assessment with the participating contractor at a time that is convenient for you.
- The contractor will conduct an on-site assessment of your property to identify energy-saving opportunities
- The contractor will work with you to submit the rebate application for work completed, on your behalf.
Customer Eligibility
Participation Requirements
You must be a Dominion Energy Virginia customer who:
- Owns or manages individually metered multifamily residential buildings
If you own or manage an Income or Age Qualifying residential building, please click here to participate in Dominion Energy’s Income and Age Qualifying Energy Efficiency Program. ** Note, this program covers tenant spaces, if you are interested in taking advantage of rebates for your common spaces, please continue to participate in our Non-Residential Multifamily program.
Please review additional requirements through the Program’s Terms and Conditions. By participating in this program, you are signifying your agreement to the Terms and Conditions of the Multifamily Program.

Rebate Details
Please allow up to 90 days from the date all required information is received to process your rebate. Payment will be issued to the account holder and mailing address on record with Dominion Energy – unless the customer has authorized the rebate to be paid to the contractor.
It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that all requirements for the rebate are met. Failure to provide any of the required information will delay processing of your application and could result in non-payment.
Upon submission of your rebate, an email will be sent to the email address provided on the rebate form confirming the rebate has been submitted for processing. If you have questions, please call 1-888-366-8280.
